Fountain Creek Wet Prairie features a large wet-prairie alongisde Fountain Creek within the Grand Marsh State Wildlife Area in southwestern Green Lake County. A parking area is located off of CTH B.
The visit here was abbreviated as try as I might I could not find a suitable route into the bulk of the wet prairie. Knee-deep or higher water blocked my approaches, so I was left to taking photographs from the periphery. There are a series of ditches in the area, alongside which is some high ground made from the excavated soil. Looking at the map and satellite imagery now, I think I would likely try approaching from the south through the forested area. An alternative access I am entertaining in my mind involves taking a kayak along Fountain Creek itself starting from near its intersection with CTH B. This would provide presumably the easiest access, though with the requisite prep work involved in loading up the kayak in the first place. Time will tell. Hopefully, this summer or early autumn will see a revisit.
